The History of the Little Flower Council |
|
|
November 15, 1937 - the first meeting of the Little Flower
Aid was held at the Rothschild Auditorium. Fundraisers were held to
purchase dishes, cutlery, utensils, tables, chairs and other supplies.
Some may stilt be in use today. |
|
| January 26,1939 - The Little Flower Alter Society was organized. We purchased many items for use in the sanctuary including the beautiful tabernacle used for the repose of the Holy Eucharist. | |
|
Time moves forward and the Little Flower Aid unites with
the Little Flower Alter Society to become what exist today: the Little
Flower Council (LFC) of St. Therese.
We are very proud
to be able to say that ours is the only organization of this Parish that
has been consistently active, in one form or another, since St. Therese
Parish began. |
|
|
Many volunteer hours are provided by the ladies of the LFC
to support not only our fundraisers and activities, but to provide help
for many of the activities held by other organizations within the parish.
Let’s take a look at some of the services we provide or support for you: |
