Pumpkin Patch Kids
By Marcy Stenstrom
What’s round
and orange, fuzzy, funny, feathery, glittery, scary, and goofy? If you guessed
Father Janusz dressed for the circus, you’re creative but wrong. It was the
fashion of free pumpkins that kids picked out and decorated after the 9:00 am
and 10:30 am Masses this past Sunday. Parishioner Lisa Krause donated the
pumpkins and the decorating fun was organized by Amy and Steve Martin as a Youth
and Family Ministries event. The tables inside the gym were full of families
using supplies like glitter glue, feathers, foam shapes, stickers, papers,
markers, and fuzzy craft items to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Little
hands were covered with glitter and glue but everyone agreed that the first ever
St. Therese Pumpkin Patch was tons of fun. Thank you to all who supplied and
organized and those who participated. We look forward to more family fun pumpkin
decorating from Youth and Family Ministries next year!
