The Answers to Questions [Part 2]

By Father Janusz

The third question, but also the first in the New Testament is from St. Matthew 2:2. Where is the newborn King of the Jews? There was hope. This very interesting question came from the three magi. They were asking the people from the east, the pagans, who arrived in Israel to give homage to the newborn King. St. Matthew also showed us King Herod, just to compare. The Son of Man, given by the Father to the whole world, the Savior of the World. The Magi represented the old world, but Jesus came to bring the old and the new together. He (Jesus) in His body unites all people. This is His mission. Today it is good to tell ourselves, “It is good for me to belong to the church”. Do others receive a message about unity, do I build unity in the Church? Let’s look very deep into our hearts and ask, “Do I build peace and unity on my mission”? The truth says that to divide something, first we need to own it.

The last question closing the New Testament we find in the Book of Revelation written by St. John the Apostle in Chapter 18:18. This chapter is dedicated to the prophecy about Babilon and it’s fall. This city symbolizes debauchery and idolatry. The message is clear, God will come to judge pride and to show that He is the only one true God in the world. This is the vision of victory and this victory wakes up joy.

The Lamb, the last one who won, this one who wrote our names in the book of everlasting life, The Book of Revelation, closes the history of salvation. After all the questions and answers will be a big surprise. No more Babilon, only a new Jerusalem.

Thinking about these four questions, we come to the point, our presence in the history of salvation. Is our way of growing in our faith different than the one from the Bible? Temptation, sin, hope and forgiveness. This is not only the history of salvation in the past, it is also the history of my life which I write every single day.
