Family

      Family - the school of a human beings values and ethics. Families are called to lead their lives according to love shared between the members of the family, according to the truth. To be loyal, to care for, and respect. To be open to and serve others. Our Catholic families should reveal the spirit of service and the presence of our savior in the world and authentic teachings of the Catholic church. A family must be penetrated by the presence of God. These families will ask God for help and offer their daily efforts into His hands.

      This picture gives us an idea about our Mission. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”. (Matthew 18:20). The prayer has beautiful value of family, especially in very significant moments. The Good Lord promised “I will be with you”. He is with us, during times when families listen to Him (teacher). He teaches the family what is most important. By these experiences families learn how to make their spiritual lives richer and their families become stronger and united.  Parents share their faith and experiences of their lives with their children. This is a good picture from the parable about building a home on rocky ground. In this way we can build our dialog with God. He is telling us who we are, and what we should look for in life. We question Him and also learn the language of communication. We practice our faith and we all grow up. Our faith lives change. We make better choices every day. Dialog in our prayer changes our families into the society of Jesus Christ’s disciples. Families receive Christ and also shine with the Gospel. “The parents not only communicate the Gospel to their children, but from their children they can themselves receive the same Gospel as deeply lived by them”. (Evangelii Nuntiendi 71, Pope Paul VI).

      When families build trust on Him, they obey and become faithful at the same time. Families are ready to forgive, and become alive in the Gospel, which all can read. Family is like a song to the world and it can speak very loud. These families should give testimony about faith in different places and during different occasions. To invest in Jesus means to keep Him in our hearts 24/7 and build our life and our responsibilities on Him. Families have an obligation to build a “civilization of love”, they are responsible for today, but also for the future time. Good family - it is the creation of the culture which can help to build the Kingdom of Heaven for believers and for others a better place to live.
