I’m CURIOUS… How about YOU?
By Mary Jeppson
This Sunday night (Sept. 20th) St. Therese Religious Education presents EPIC: A Journey through Church History. It is presented in a 20 part format covering the history of our faith. The topics which will be covered are Persecution, Conversions and Councils, Missionaries and the Emperor, the Crusaders and Scholars, Weak Leaders and Schism, Protesters and Defenders, The Catholic Reformation, Revolutions and Modernism, A World at War, The New Springtime and The Threshold of Hope. There is something for everyone!
This format is a bit different than the Bible study courses. There are two or three pages to read in the workbook before class. The class is on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. They begin with a DVD presentation followed with a discussion. The schedule has been set to take a break starting
November 22nd (for hunting and the holiday season) with the next session beginning on Jan. 3rd, 2010. And if you have to miss a session, you can make arrangements with Mike at the Religious Education Office (359-9006) to view the DVD at another time. This couldn’t be any easier!
This is an opportunity for each of us to learn more about OUR history and how it affected the world around us! Aren’t you CURIOUS? I AM! Hope to see you there!
