Mark Your Calendars – Don’t Miss out on Advent Mission
Have you heard about the Advent Mission yet? This year St. Therese will be hosting a parish mission to get us jump started into the start of our new liturgical year. The mission will run from Sunday, November 29th through Tuesday, December 1st.
The mission will run from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm each night. On Sunday there will be a teen meal at 5:00 pm hosted by the Little Flower Council. The meal will be followed by a special talk for 7th-12 grade teens from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
Deacon Thomas K. Kinnick will be leading us into an exploration of what it means to live a Catholic life of communion, conversion, and mission. He will draw from important teachings of John Paull II as well as Vatican II documents.
Deacon Kinnick was ordained in January 2007 as a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of La Crosse. He received his Master of Theological Studies from Ave Maria University and is currently working on a Sacred Theology Licentiate from Mundelein Seminary, in Chicago. Deacon Kinnick is currently assigned to St. Charles Borromeo, in Chippewa Falls, and is the director of Youth Ministry for the Chippewa Falls Deanery. He is on the formation team for the North American Lourdes Volunteers and has led three pilgrimages to Lourdes, France. Deacon Kinnick has 24 years experience teaching at the high school and collegiate levels and is currently a teacher for the Lay Formation Institute and the permanent Diaconate Program – both for the Diocese of La Crosse. He is also a frequent guest apologist for Relevant Radio’s “Searching the Word” program, and has spoken at numerous conferences and conventions. He currently resides in Chippewa Falls with his wife Yvette and their four children. Contact Steve Martin for more info.
