We are Easter People,

People of Hope

     We set our hope on the living God…this is the Easter message. This is the message we need to incorporate into our daily living IF we really want to live a life worth living. Mere material happiness does not satisfy our restless hearts. Our hearts are restless for God. Being in unity with God is the key to being joyful and hopeful.

     Only God can give us a firm and reliable hope. In our youth we dream and plan. We test our ideas, “hoping for the best”.  The “best” is obtained by keeping God’s will. We know God’s will most efficiently through the Catholic Church. Why? Because Jesus Himself gave us this Church and He will protect it and His truths always. The Church’s duty is to lead us to God. This is the Easter message. 

     We keep the flame of hope burning in our hearts by studying and trusting the Easter message. To know and love God our Creator and Savior is to desire to be with Him. By learning to serve Him (charity), we can live the joyful life of a Christian. We become holy…and to enter into heaven for eternity, we must be holy!

     God is all merciful and knows us intimately, even before we were born. God, encompasses the whole of reality and can give us what we, by ourselves, cannot attain. Let us pray to rediscover the true face of God, Who is Love. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit". (St. Paul) We are Easter people of hope.
