Easter Hopping In

By Mike Lambrecht

As many of you may know, on Holy Saturday we held our annual “Easter Hopping In” festivities. This is a chance for children of our parish age 2-10 to come together to have some fun and to celebrate Easter. We had games with prizes, cookies and juice, a story, made a craft (built a bear), colored and worked on activity pages, and scavenged for Easter eggs.

I am pleased to say that there were many more children involved this year. Last year, we had a total of 15 children who participated with Easter Hopping In while this year we had 48 who attended. After talking with several of the parents, it seems that everyone had a great time.

Many of our middle and high school teens also volunteered to help out. In all, we had 13 student volunteers who ran the games, helped with set up and take down, and led the groups of children from station to station. I would like to thank all of them for their hard work.

I would also like to thank all of the parents who brought their children to St. Therese for this event and made it a very special and memorable time for their child. The success of events like this is not possible without your dedication and support. Please mark your calendar for Holy Saturday next year so that we can make it even bigger and better. Have a wonderful and Happy Easter season!
